We have an exciting opportunity for a Practice Manager to lead our successful established team at the Primrose Hill Surgery. We are looking for someone to lead and manage our Practice, helping us to meet our objectives, whilst maintaining our strong values of providing a responsive, safe, and high-quality service for our patients, in a supportive and efficient environment. Main duties of the job

You must be experienced, dynamic, highly organised and enthusiastic, with outstanding leadership skills, a good head for business and a large heart for people with excellent communication and team skills. You will have vision, be adaptable, and conscientious. The successful candidate will work closely with the Partner and our excellent Operational Managers, supported by fantastic administrative and clinical teams, to ensure the smooth day to day running of the practice, fulfilling all necessary management duties as agreed with the Partnership.

Job responsibilities

The successful candidate will work closely with the Partner and our excellent Clinical and Administrative Operational Managers, supported by fantastic administrative and clinical teams, to ensure the smooth day to day running of the practice, fulfilling all necessary management duties as agreed with the Partner.

Person Specification

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience working within a Primary Care Centre, including at least 2 years in a Practice management role.
  • Diploma in Primary Care Management e.g., AMSPAR/City & Guilds Level 5 DPCHM
  • Leadership/management qualification e.g., degree level or equivalent in healthcare/business.
  • Good standard of education with strong literacy and numeracy.
  • Experience of organising meetings
  • Experience of training staff
  • Knowledge of primary health care
  • Previous management role
  • Knowledge of QOF
  • Good interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Experience of, and ability to, present and produce clear, accurate and concise minutes, action points and reports
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Able to set up/manage effective document management systems
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills
  • Experience of preparing and presenting information to a team
  • Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
  • Ability to work under pressure and to prioritise workload
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
