Job Overview: POWER THE FUTURE OF CLEAN ENERGY
Are you an experienced Commissioning General Foreman with a background in utility-scale solar, BESS, substations, or high-voltage construction? While we’re not actively hiring for this role today, we’re always looking to connect with top talent for future opportunities.
WHAT YOU’LL DO (WHEN THE TIME COMES):
- Lead and direct Foremen and craft labor to ensure safe, productive, and high-quality jobsite execution
- Provide hands‑on technical expertise across electrical systems, including HV/MV collection systems, substations, switchgear, circuits, and interconnects
- Support engineering review, procurement, construction, commissioning, and startup of electrical scopes
- Plan and coordinate labor, equipment, and materials to maximize productivity and control costs
- Implement and reinforce standardized work instructions and construction methods
- Act as a technical resource for field teams on installation, sequencing, and troubleshooting
- Drive a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with LOTO, arc flash, and all federal/state regulations
- Partner with Trade Superintendent on staffing, scheduling, and performance management
- Monitor production vs. estimate, identify overruns, and support corrective actions
- Oversee quality execution, including audits and adherence to project specs and quality plans
- Mentor and develop Foremen, Field Engineers, and craft to improve performance and consistency
- Maintain reporting and documentation including daily reports, time sheets, material requests, and quality records
WHAT WE LOOK FOR:
- Experience in utility-scale solar electrical construction, substations, or high-voltage systems
- Proven leadership managing craft labor and frontline supervision
- Strong knowledge of electrical installation, commissioning, and construction sequencing
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, specs, and contract documents
- Experience with job costing, production tracking, and resource planning
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
- Willingness to relocate and work on project sites
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable MVR
- Electrical licensing or ability to obtain (Journeyman/Master) preferred

$90,000 - $120,000 Primoris Renewable Energy provides the following compensation range and general description of other compensation and benefits that it in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position. This compensation range is based on a full‑time schedule. Primoris Renewable Energy reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s sex or other status protected by local, state, or federal law.
