For this role, it is important you live in commuting distance to one of our offices: Darlington, Copenhagen, Berlin or Rotterdam. As our High Voltage Power Cable Expert, you'll play a key role in some of the world's most exciting renewable technology projects. In this role, you'll help our clients with their subsea cable projects, making sure everything runs safely, efficiently, and according to the latest standards and insights.
Anchoring Your Impact
- Design power cables: Perform conceptual design and develop specifications for submarine power cables.
- Strategic direction: Create owners’ strategies for cable purchase, manufacturing, installation, operation and maintenance.
- Review and align requirements: Evaluate the requirements, coordinate with and align stakeholders to achieve a cost‑efficient set of employer requirements.
- Cable production control: Specify cable design & test requirements, review production documentation, factory audits, act as employer’s representative during cable production and tests.
- Support IT and tender process: Develop tender documents, evaluate offers, supplier audits and technically support the contracting process.
- State‑of‑the‑art: Stay ahead of the industry by participating in international conferences, communities etc.
- Learn from mistakes: technically lead cable fault investigations.

- Experienced HV Cable Engineer with 7+ years of experience in cable design, new developments, specifications, production documentation, test programs, ITP documentation, manufacturing, quality surveillance, cable handling, audits etc.
- Academic master degree in electrical engineering or similar.
- Driven to be the go‑to person in your field of expertise, always ahead of the game and constantly on the lookout for more knowledge.
- A big plus if you love sustainability topics.
- Strong communication skills; capable of negotiating with authorities and communicating openly.
