The usual complaint in agency SEO is that the recommendations go into a document and the document goes into a drawer.

Here the developer sits a desk away and the site is ours to change.

You will see your work go live within days, and you will see what it does in Search Console.

Our clients are mostly UK businesses that sell locally or to a trade: car dealers, accountants, manufacturers, shops.

The work is technical SEO, local SEO, content planning and the growing question of how a business shows up in AI answers.

  • What you will be doing
  • Audit sites, prioritise the findings and write them up so a developer can act on them.
  • Run keyword and competitor research with Ahrefs, and turn it into a content plan a client can keep up with.
  • Look after Google Business Profiles and local citations for multi-site clients.
  • Track rankings, clicks and conversions, and report on what changed and why.
  • Keep up with how search engines and AI assistants are changing, and tell the rest of us.
  • What you will need
  • At least five years of commercial work in this field that you can show us. We promise clients that everyone on their project has that, so it is not negotiable.
  • Sites you have improved, with the before and after.
  • Confidence in Search Console, GA4, Ahrefs or a similar toolset, and a crawler.
  • Enough HTML to read a page template and say what is wrong with it.
  • Useful, not required
  • Schema markup and structured data beyond a plugin.
  • Experience with answer engine optimisation and AI citation tracking.
