We publish a lot.
Our own blog runs several posts a week, our service and location pages are rewritten when they stop earning their place, and clients need the same for their sites.
All of it has to be clear, correct and worth a reader's time.
You will write for car dealers, accountants, manufacturers and shops, which means learning each business well enough to write as if you worked there.
You will also pitch stories to journalists and sector sites, so a client's expertise ends up cited somewhere that matters.
- What you will be doing
- Write and edit service pages, landing pages, location pages and articles for clients and for Primo.
- Research each piece from primary sources and keep a record of where every fact came from.
- Plan content with the SEO team so each page has a reason to exist and a query to answer.
- Pitch and place digital PR pieces, and keep a list of who covers what.
- Edit other people's copy, including the technical team's, without losing their meaning.
- What you will need
- At least five years of commercial work in this field that you can show us. We promise clients that everyone on their project has that, so it is not negotiable.
- Published work you wrote yourself, for a business audience, that we can read.
- The discipline to check a claim before you publish it, and to cut what you cannot check.
- A plain style. We do not publish jargon, and we count the reader's time as a cost.
- Useful, not required
- Digital PR placements you secured, with the coverage.
- Basic HTML and an understanding of how a page is structured for search.
