Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor

Salary: £85,000 – £100,000+ depending on experience
The role:
- Manage the commercial and contractual aspects of AV installation projects, from contract award through to final account
- Conduct contract reviews upon project award, making sure the project team understands the commercial and contractual requirements
- Interpret and apply JCT, FIDIC and bespoke client contracts throughout project delivery
- Review procurement and subcontractor packages, assessing and authorising subcontractor payments against completed work
- Measure and value work completed on site, including installations, equipment deliveries and commissioning milestones
- Prepare valuations, progress applications, invoices, monthly cost reports and cash flow forecasts
- Identify, track and negotiate variations and compensation events to protect commercial performance
- Act as the main commercial point of contact for internal teams, clients and subcontractors, with scope to grow as the function expands into Ireland and Europe
Skills needed:
- Professional experience in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related field
- Working knowledge of JCT and FIDIC contracts, ideally within AV, construction or technology integration (NEC experience is useful but rarely required)
- Experience managing budgets, cost reports and forecasting for technical or project based work
- Skilled in negotiating with clients and subcontractors to protect commercial outcomes
- Excellent numerical, analytical and communication skills, comfortable working under pressure
- RICS chartered or working towards chartership, with 5+ years post-qualification experience desirable
- An additional European language is a bonus, as is experience resolving payment or final account disputes
