We’re looking for an experienced SAM professional with proven expertise in ServiceNow SAM Pro to deliver transformational software asset management solutions for enterprise clients. This role blends high-level strategy, hands-on delivery, and client-facing consultancy to help organisations gain control of their software estates, reduce risk, and optimise spend.
Your Role
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of SAM services using ServiceNow SAM Pro – from implementation to BAU operations
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, offering insight into software licensing, audit defence, and SAM maturity improvements
- Deliver complex Effective Licence Positions (ELPs) across tier 1 vendors such as Microsoft, Oracle, SAP, and IBM
- Work with clients to assess SAM processes, recommend improvements, and align asset management to business objectives
- Scope and manage multi-workstream projects, ensuring accurate and timely delivery in line with Statements of Work
- Create high-impact deliverables including licensing assessments, stakeholder presentations, and remediation plans
- Mentor junior consultants and support the ongoing enhancement of our delivery methodology and internal processes
What You’ll Bring
- At least five years of experience in Software Asset Management consulting, working with enterprise organisations
- ServiceNow SAM Pro implementation, configuration, and operational experience (essential)
- Strong track record of audit defence and managing complex licensing scenarios
- Deep understanding of SAM processes, maturity assessments, and vendor licensing frameworks
- Experience with tier 1 software vendors such as Microsoft, Oracle, SAP, or IBM
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with confidence engaging senior stakeholders
- Strong organisational ability and commercial awareness
Preferred (but not essential)
- ServiceNow certifications (e.g. CIS – Software Asset Management, System Administrator)
- ITIL v3 or v4 Foundation certification
- Experience mentoring or training junior consultants
