We're hiring on behalf of a growing consultancy based in Reading, looking for a hands-on Product Engineering Manager to lead day-to-day engineering delivery across their Innovation platform.
What you'll be doing:
- Leading engineering delivery, including DevOps, testing, analytics, and platform reliability
- Managing third-party and offshore development teams (India-based)
- Owning infrastructure oversight: capacity planning, priorities, continuous improvement
- Bringing AI tooling into the team to support governance and increase capacity
- Line managing 3-4 direct reports within a wider team of 10
- Contributing to budget planning and risk management
What we're looking for:
- Strong hands-on experience with Azure, DevOps, and Power Platform
- Experience managing third-party/offshore development teams
- Solid infrastructure background, not just theory
- AI experience beyond just using it, ideally governance and controlled implementation
- A player-coach mentality, still close to the technical detail, not purely strategic
