Data Strategy – Senior Consultant – Manager
Location: London (Hybrid) | Practice Area: Data & Analytics | Type: Permanent
The Role
We’re seeking a Senior Consultant/Manager in Data Strategy to lead client engagements focused on enabling data-driven transformation. You’ll design and deliver enterprise data strategies, operating models, and business cases that translate data into business value. This role is ideal for someone with a consulting mindset and a strong grasp of data management, governance, and change delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead client projects across strategy design, target operating model (TOM) development, and business case creation.
- Conduct data maturity assessments, facilitate stakeholder interviews, and lead workshops.
- Oversee data strategy implementation including governance, policies, and tooling recommendations.
- Manage small project teams and contribute to internal capability building and mentorship.
- Support proposition development and thought leadership within the data strategy domain.
Required Experience
- 4-10 years’ experience in data strategy, governance, or management roles.
- Practical understanding of frameworks such as DAMA DMBOK, DCAM, or CDMC.
- Proven ability to design strategic roadmaps and operating models for enterprise transformation.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and project delivery skills.
- Experience leading teams and fostering collaborative working environments.
Desirable Skills
- Background in consulting or financial services transformation.
- Awareness of regulatory frameworks (e.g., GDPR, ESG, Consumer Duty).
- Familiarity with data and analytics tools (e.g., Collibra, Tableau, Power BI).
- Professional certifications in data management or governance methodologies.
