We\’re working with a rapidly growing Series A startup backed by top-tier VCs who are seeking highly skilled Software Engineer / Backend Engineer with deep expertise in backend development.

As a Senior Engineer, you\’ll be at the intersection of traditional engineering excellence and cutting-edge AI-assisted development. You\’ll build production-ready systems, working with automation-generated code and evolving it into robust, scalable solutions.

This organisation is continuing to evolve, and they need someone who can thrive in a fast-paced start up environment while maintaining high technical standards.

AI tools like Cursor, Windsurf, and GitHub Copilot are now fundamental to how work gets done – this company are looking for experts with AI used in workflow.

What You\’ll Do:

• Own and evolve backend features using Python
• Design and implement robust APIs and data workflows
• Build production-ready services from automation-generated code
• Create seamless integrations with external systems (APIs)
• Contribute the to direction and design of the product
• Collaborate with a cross-functional team of engineers and AI experts
• Adapt and extend auto-generated pipelines and front-end outputs

About You:

• Strong expertise in Python, SQL and PostgreSQL.
• Experience building APIs or distributed systems.
• AI exposure – Cursor, Claude, GitHub Copilot.
• Experience leading on projects end-to-end with full ownership and autonomy.
