We are seeking an experienced Performance Test Lead to take a hands-on, foundational role within a critical, multi-wave cloud migration programme. This is a greenfield opportunity for a client with no existing performance testing capability, requiring someone who can define, lead, and execute performance testing from the ground up.
You will play a key role in ensuring platform stability and performance throughout major infrastructure changes, working closely with technical teams and senior stakeholders across the programme.
The role:
- Establish and lead performance testing capability across a large-scale cloud migration.
- Design and deliver performance test plans for each migration wave and major infrastructure change.
- Execute end-to-end load and performance test cycles, documenting results and outcomes.
- Analyse results and provide clear performance tuning recommendations backed by evidence.
- Produce concise, high-quality performance test summary reports.
- Engage confidently with stakeholders at all levels, ensuring alignment with governance and delivery standards.
Skills Needed:
- Proven expertise in performance testing within cloud migration or complex enterprise environments.
- Strong hands-on experience with JMeter and Azure App Testing (formerly Azure Load Testing).
- Experience executing performance and load testing in Azure environments.
- Solid understanding of cloud networking performance validation, including:
- Latency
- Packet loss
- Bandwidth
- Resilience
