About This Position

The Cutter Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining pressroom paper cutting equipment to accurately cut and trim paper stock and printed materials according to production specifications.

This role also performs routine preventative maintenance on cutting equipment and operates a forklift/lift truck to transport materials throughout the facility.

This role is not eligible for sponsorship.

The salary range for this role is $35k - $40k.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and set up paper cutting equipment according to job specifications.
  • Cut, trim, and prepare paper stock and printed materials for production and bindery operations.
  • Perform preventative maintenance, including blade changes, lubrication, and machine cleaning.
  • Operate a forklift/lift truck to move pallets of paper stock and printed materials.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Follow written procedures, safety guidelines, and company policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma
  • Knowledge of paper cutter operation and maintenance.
  • Familiarity with bindery equipment and printing operations preferred.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow written instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to become proficient in all aspects of the role within 90 days.
  • Forklift experience preferred.
