Primer is the unified infrastructure for global payments. We give finance and payments teams the visibility and control to reduce complexity, improve performance, and capture more revenue - all from a single platform. We unify fragmented payment and finance systems into a single, intelligent platform, automating the entire payments lifecycle from acceptance and orchestration to reconciliation, FX, and financial operations.

What will the role involve?

  • Design and deliver end-to-end product experiences — from low-fi sketches to high-fidelity prototypes
  • Validate design decisions through both qualitative and quantitative research methods
  • Collaborate with PMs, engineers, and wider teams to solve complex problems using first principles thinking
  • Craft simple, accessible, and visually polished experiences that put the user first
  • Champion and contribute to our design system to ensure consistency and scalability
  • Work closely with engineers to bring designs to life — balancing polish with pragmatism
  • Facilitate workshops and design thinking sessions to unlock ideas and align teams
  • Thrive in a fast-moving, highly collaborative product environment

What are we looking for?

  • Experience owning and driving product design solutions
  • Strong understanding of best practices for turning complex flows into intuitive experiences
  • Sensitivity to user needs — backed by enthusiasm for testing and data
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across product and engineering
  • Data-informed mindset — confident using analytics, A/B testing, and insights to guide decisions
  • Experience contributing to and maintaining a design system
  • Skilled at facilitating workshops and engaging stakeholders in the design process
  • Curious, creative, and eager to grow in a high-performing design team
