Overview

Senior Support Worker (Nights) at PrimeLife Ltd. This role is based at Phoenix Park Care Village, in the heart of Scunthorpe, Lincolnshire. The Care Village serves 146 residents across three buildings. Residents may have age-related health conditions, physical disabilities, mental health conditions, and dementia, requiring dignified support from a caring team. Candidates should be patient, understanding and respectful of residents’ individual abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Leading, managing and supporting your care team to ensure high quality of care and service for all residents
  • Ensuring care plans are regularly reviewed with continuous assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation
  • Engaging with residents in conversation at a level and pace that values the individual and respects dignity and communication differences
  • Administering and recording medication as prescribed, with accurate monitoring of drug doses for residents
  • Preserving and promoting each resident’s dignity and independence
  • Encouraging residents to achieve the highest possible quality of life appropriate for them
  • Assisting residents to participate in discussions relating to daily living arrangements
  • Providing personal care where necessary

What we’re looking for

  • A genuine caring nature and a desire to make a real difference for our residents
  • Prior experience as a Support Worker or Care Assistant is desirable but not essential, as full training is provided
  • Experience with residents who have mental health conditions, learning disabilities, or physical disabilities is common in this role; candidates should be patient, understanding and respectful of residents’ individual abilities
