Overview
Make a difference every day and give back to your community! This role will be based at Welholme Road Residential Home, in the seaside town of Grimsby. The home has been specially designed to cater to the needs of 16 residents living with a range of complex physical disabilities and mental health conditions. It is essential that candidates for this role are patient, understanding and respectful of our residents’ individual abilities.

- Hourly rates of pay ranging from ÂŁ13.30 to ÂŁ14.33 per hour dependent upon qualification level

Responsibilities
- Lead, manage and support your care team to ensure high quality care and service for all residents
- Regularly review care plans with continuous assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of residents’ care
- Engage with residents in conversation at a level and pace that values the individual and respects their dignity and communication differences
- Administer and record medication as prescribed, with accurate monitoring of drug dose for residents in the home
- Ensure each resident’s dignity and independence is preserved and promoted
- Encourage each resident to achieve the highest possible quality of life that is right for them
- Encourage and assist residents to participate in discussions relating to their daily living arrangements
- Assist with each resident’s personal care where necessary
What we’re looking for
To be successful in this role, you will have a genuine caring nature and a desire to make a real difference for our residents. While prior experience as a Support Worker or Care Assistant is desirable, this is not essential as full training is provided. Our residents typically live with mental health conditions, learning disabilities and physical disabilities that require dignified support from our care team. It is essential that candidates for this role are patient, understanding and respectful of our residents’ individual abilities.
