Overview

Senior Support Worker role at PrimeLife Ltd. Based at Phoenix Park Care Village, in Scunthorpe, Lincolnshire. The Care Village has been designed to cater to the needs of 146 residents across three buildings. Residents may have age-related health conditions, physical disabilities and mental health conditions, with many living with Dementia and requiring one-to-one personal support to maintain independence. Candidates should be patient, understanding and respectful of residents’ individual abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Leading, managing and supporting the care team to ensure high quality care and service for all residents
  • Regular review of care plans with continuous assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation
  • Engaging with residents in conversations that respect their dignity and communication differences
  • Administering and recording medication as prescribed with accurate monitoring of drug doses
  • Preserving and promoting each resident’s dignity and independence
  • Encouraging residents to achieve the highest possible quality of life
  • Encouraging and assisting residents to participate in discussions about their daily living arrangements
  • Providing personal care where necessary

What we’re looking for

  • A genuine caring nature and desire to make a real difference for residents
  • Prior experience as a Support Worker or Care Assistant is desirable but not essential; full training is provided
  • Patience, understanding and respect for residents’ individual abilities
