Senior Full Time Care Assistant

Prime Life is looking for Care Assistants to join our team on a part‑time basis at Holmes Court, South Wigston, Leicestershire. The facility supports 29 residents with learning disabilities, sensory impairments and mental health conditions. Candidates should be patient, understanding and respectful of residents’ individual abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and support the care team ensuring high quality of care and service is always provided to all residents
• Ensure care plans are regularly reviewed and continuously assess, plan, implement and evaluate resident care
• Engage with residents in conversation at a level and pace that values the individual and respects their dignity and communication differences
• Administer and record medication as prescribed, with accurate monitoring of drug dosage to residents in the home
• Ensure each resident’s dignity and independence is always preserved and promoted
• Encourage each resident to achieve the highest possible quality of life that is right for them
• Encourage and assist residents to participate in discussions relating to their daily living arrangements
• Assist where necessary with each resident’s personal care

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a Care Assistant or Support worker is essential
• Ability to provide dignified support to residents with age‑related conditions, life‑limiting health conditions and physical disabilities
• Patient, understanding and respectful attitude towards residents’ individual abilities
• Leadership or supervisory experience is not essential; full training and mentoring will be provided
