Role Responsibilities

  • Responsibility for day to day management of the Ramp function including but not limited to supporting the Leadership team and employees on shift, supporting all operational departments.
  • Drives and role models the company values of Integrity, Motivation, Passion, Accountability, Commitment, Trust and Safety.
  • Oversight and ensuring an effective departmental daily auditing process is followed including Flight Fil Checks, AAA compliance, Daily GSE / Equipment checks, and Turnaround audits in line with airline specific requirements.
  • Have full oversight of the day to day running of the operation, including employee rosters, sickness and lateness, and UKG processes including accurate scheduling and exception management to ensure effective operational coverage in line with Primeflight Aviation Services policies and procedures.
  • Attend meetings with Airline / Airport authorities to discuss and review operational performance related issues, helping to build a positive relationship with our Airlines and third-party providers.
  • Oversight of ramp attributable delays and action plan to address with the team including reporting to Ground Operations manager.
  • Oversight for the Ramp Duty Managers delivery of employee performance reviews and appraisals and other HR meetings including absence, lateness, and poor behaviour.
  • Provide exceptional assistance and be genuine and polite to passengers and colleagues.
  • Deliver team meetings to cascade key company and airport communications including safety messages and focus points.
  • Responsible for ensuring daily Intelex entries are submitted by the Ramp Duty Managers.
  • Responsible for performing investigations and disciplinary and appeal hearings in a timely manner.
  • Must have a structured weekly planning meeting with the duty managers.
  • Any other reasonable duties requested by the line manager.

Qualifications

  • Ability to use initiative and be proactive.
  • Planning and organising workload, must have excellent time management skills and adopt a structured but flexible approach when priorities change.
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Precise attention to detail.
  • Credible role model within the management team and demonstrates leadership skills; shows consistency and fairness in the management of people.
  • Drives diversity and inclusion within the team and calls out unacceptable behaviour and language; passionate about safety in the operation; experience in a senior leadership role and a proven track record of managing a team is required.
  • A full clean driving license is essential.
  • Experienced Aviation background.
  • Possesses the ability to identify hazards, assess and mitigate operational risks proactively.
  • High level of punctuality and attendance.
  • No live disciplinary warnings on personnel file.
  • Leads by example to all employees, professional and credible.
  • Good level of IT skills and knowledge of computer systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, must be able to engage people and perform group briefings and have credibility and influence within the station.
