Role Responsibilities:
- The Warehouse Cargo Agent is responsible for handling and processing air cargo shipments efficiently and safely within a warehouse environment.
- This role involves receiving, storing, loading, and unloading cargo, ensuring that all goods are properly documented and comply with safety and security regulations.
- The position requires strong attention to detail, effective teamwork, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high operational standards.
What we're looking for:
- Receive, process, and handle air cargo shipments, ensuring accuracy in documentation and proper storage.
- Load and unload cargo from trucks, trailers, and aircraft containers, using equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse tools.
- Verify cargo quantities, conditions, and proper labelling, ensuring compliance with safety and security standards.
- Organise and store cargo in designated warehouse areas while maintaining an orderly and safe work environment.
- Prepare cargo for shipping according to airline or customer requirements.
- Assist in processing inbound and outbound cargo, ensuring on-time dispatch and delivery.
- Maintain accurate records of cargo movements, using both manual and computer systems to update and track shipments.
- Adhere to all security protocols, ensuring that no prohibited or dangerous items are included in shipments.
- Collaborate with other warehouse staff, supervisors, and airline representatives to coordinate smooth operations.
- Perform general warehouse duties, including housekeeping, equipment maintenance, and safety checks.
