The Ticket Desk Agent is responsible for delivering excellent customer service to passengers and airline partners while providing support with ticketing, reservations, baggage services, and travel enquiries. The role requires a professional and flexible individual who can remain calm under pressure and work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced airport environment.
Role Responsibilities:- Assist passengers with reservations, ticket sales, amendments, refunds, and general travel enquiries.
- Provide accurate information on fares, routes, schedules, baggage allowances, and airline products.
- Handle payment transactions and complete daily payment reconciliations in accordance with company procedures.
- Manage baggage-related enquiries, including short-shipped, delayed, and misrouted baggage cases.
- Liaise with airline and baggage teams to trace luggage and provide timely updates to passengers.
- Process baggage charges and excess baggage payments where required.
- Support check-in and boarding gate operations when necessary.
- Dealing with flight disruptions, delays, and cancellations.
- Ensure compliance with airline, airport, security, and health and safety procedures at all times.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication and customer service skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure. A good knowledge of, or willingness to learn, the following is essential:
- Reservations systems
