At PrimeFlight Engineering we offer air cargo ULD repair and logistics services alongside cabin repair and maintenance services. With more than 30 years of experience, we repair, modify, overhaul, inspect, test, assemble, clean, store, move, and dispose of ULDs. This role will require the independent monitoring of all maintenance activities, including contracted and subcontracted activities, to assure compliance with applicable obligations. This role is our nominated Post Holder and will report directly to the Accountable Manager.
Role Responsibilities:- The activities of PrimeFlight Engineering Ltd are independently monitored for compliance with the applicable requirements and any additional requirements as established by the organisation, and that these activities, including contracted and subcontracted activities, are performed properly under the supervision of the nominated persons.
- Health and safety of employees and visitors and our compliance to UK legislation and company standards are managed.
- An audit plan is properly developed, implemented, maintained, and continually reviewed and improved in the light of experience and safety and compliance performance.
- Competent auditors are used to perform scheduled and unscheduled audits.
- Findings and safety investigations are allocated to and investigated by the relevant nominated persons.
- Verify that corrections and effective corrective actions are defined and implemented by the relevant nominated persons within agreed timescales.
- Hazard identification, risk assessments and safety performance indicators are managed.
- Provide periodic reports on safety and compliance performance to the Accountable Manager.
- Provide information and advice to the safety review board on the effect of identified noncompliance and trends on aviation safety risks.
- Relevant training programmes are developed and delivered.
- Sound Knowledge / Understanding of Part M, Part 145, and applicable Part 21 requirements (UK, EU, and USA).
- Knowledge of UK/EU management system requirements and their application (including safety management systems and compliance monitoring).
- Knowledge of human factors principles.
- An understanding of risk management.
- An understanding of investigation techniques and root cause methodologies.
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, and the ability to influence staff.
- Excellent oral and written English communications skills.
- Excellent MS Office / Project Management skills.
- Commitment to high standards of performance.
- Ability to prioritise workload and work under pressure.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team.
- 5 years of relevant work experience, of which at least 2 years should be from the aeronautical industry in an appropriate position.
- Aviation Compliance Monitoring experience.
- Solid problem solving, decision making and commercial awareness.
