We are seeking a detail-oriented and driven individual to take on the role of Project Engineer, focusing on pre-mobilisation,

design coordination, and project delivery.

LEGIONELLA RISK ASSESSMENTS & COMPLIANCE

  • Conduct comprehensive Legionella risk assessments in line with ACoP L8, HSG274 and relevant British Standards.
  • Produce clear, accurate and detailed written reports for clients, with recommendations for remedial actions.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of clients\’ water systems and develop tailored control schemes.

WATER TREATMENT & REMEDIAL WORKS

  • Carry out routine water monitoring and sampling (temperature checks, dip slides, pH, conductivity, etc.)
  • Perform chlorination and disinfection of water systems, tanks, and pipework in accordance with BS 8558.
  • Implement minor plumbing remedials (dead leg removals, TMV servicing, tank inspections and cleanings).
  • Conduct closed system analysis and dosing as required.

TECHNICAL & CUSTOMER SERVICE

  • Liaise with clients, providing professional advice and updates on compliance and performance.
  • Maintain service records and logbooks in accordance with contract requirements and legislation.
  • Identify opportunities to improve water system efficiency and safety for the client.

Requirements

  • City & Guilds or equivalent qualification in Water Treatment, Plumbing, Mechanical Engineering, or Environmental
  • Science.
  • Legionella Risk Assessment qualification (e.g., City & Guilds accredited or similar).
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Minimum 2 years\’ experience in water treatment and water hygiene services.
  • Proven experience conducting Legionella Risk Assessments in accordance with ACOP L8 and HSG274.
  • Experience carrying out routine monitoring, cleaning, disinfections, and sampling of domestic hot and cold water
  • systems.
  • Comfortable working in a range of environments, including healthcare, education, commercial, and industrial sites.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and guidance, including Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations, ACOP L8,
  • HSG274, and BS 8558.
  • Understanding of closed system treatment (e.g., heating/cooling circuits) and basic BMS awareness.
