As a Commercial Gas Engineer at Primech Building Services, you will be responsible for carrying out installation, maintenance, and repair work on a variety of commercial gas systems and appliances. Your expertise will ensure compliance with current legislation and standards, while also contributing to the safety and efficiency of our clients' operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Extensive knowledge of Gas Safe compliance (IGEMS/British Standards)
  • Extensive experience in Boiler/combustion servicing, fault identification and repair works across a variety of sectors including MET Police, the Private Sector & Schools
  • Attendance to callouts during working hours and in addition, be part of the out-of-hours emergency call-out rota
  • Utilising our job management system, by completing and submitting clear, concise, accurate reports for works carried out, further work required and gas compliance certification
  • Good communication to ensure regular communications with the FM helpdesk and Contract Manager on the relevant job progressions
  • Carry out service, maintenance, and installation of commercial gas heating systems and appliances
  • Conduct thorough inspections, testing, and diagnostics to ensure safe and efficient system operation
  • Respond promptly to emergency call-outs and participate in a planned on-call rota
  • Complete accurate service reports, compliance documentation, and certification
  • Liaise professionally with clients to plan works and provide technical recommendations
  • Attend training and development to remain up to date with industry best practice

Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • A minimum of COCN1, ICPN1, CIGA1, CDGA1, TPCP1, CCN1, CENWAT
  • Knowledge of a variety of Commercial/Domestic appliances and maintenance
  • Extensive experience in commercial fault finding and rectification
  • Good all-around knowledge of heating systems, fixed electrical systems & controls/BMS
  • DBS Required
  • CSCS Card (Gold and above)
  • Full Clean Drivers License
  • Confidentiality on projects
  • Good Punctuality
  • Problem Solving
  • Great Communicator
  • Excellent Teamwork
  • Good interpersonal skills and patience
  • Attention to detail

Desirable (But Not Essential)

  • IPAF and/or PASMA
  • First Aid certification
