We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Project Engineer to join our Kent-based team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a basic understanding of building services or mechanical engineering who is keen to develop their career within a supportive and professional environment. The successful candidate will be enrolled on a HNC, fully funded by Primech Building Services, alongside gaining hands-on project experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Project Engineers and Project Managers in the delivery of building services projects
- Support with project planning, documentation, and technical drawings
- Assist with procurement of materials and coordination with suppliers
- Attend site meetings and assist with site coordination activities
- Support quality control, health & safety compliance, and commissioning activities
- Help track project progress, costs, and variations
- Carry out basic engineering calculations and technical support tasks
- Develop knowledge of mechanical and electrical building services systems
Skills & Experience
- Essential: Basic mechanical knowledge or exposure to building services
- A keen interest in engineering and construction
- Willingness to study towards a HNC
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Positive attitude and eagerness to learn
- Desirable: GCSEs / A-Levels / BTEC or equivalent in a relevant technical subject
- Some site or office experience within construction or engineering
- Basic understanding of M&E systems
