We are seeking applications for a new role under occupation code 2135 for the position of Junior Cyber Security Analyst to support our organizational activities, including the Global Halal Certification & Accreditation Platform, a project under development. This position is suitable for new entrants to mid-career professionals. The role requires familiarity with:
- Previous experience in consulting across various sectors, including the food industry, to help revolutionize the halal segment with a digitally traceable supply chain.
- Experience in handling cyber threats to safeguard our platform, protect sensitive data, and ensure compliance with industry standards, thereby enhancing our competitive position in the halal certification and food industry.
- A blend of foundational cybersecurity and IT skills, including monitoring vulnerabilities, implementing security protocols, and integrating security insights into platform development in line with ISO 27001 and GDPR standards.
- Proficiency with tools such as SIEM systems and firewalls to foster innovation and meet the evolving needs of the certification market and consultancy.
- Serving as a key liaison with our technology partner.
- Supporting vulnerability assessments and security audits to ensure seamless integration of security solutions aligned with market demands, client expectations, and industry standards.
- Contributing beyond technical support by informing strategic decisions on risk mitigation, UI security, and compliance strategies, thereby enhancing platform reliability and user trust.
- Providing actionable insights, identifying vulnerabilities, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to mitigate risks, especially for our blockchain-based platform, ensuring it meets stringent security standards and maintains stakeholder confidence.
- Ensuring the security of our platform to contribute to regional and national innovation in supply chain transparency.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Cybersecurity (NCSC UK accredited) is mandatory.
- 4 to 5 years of relevant work experience.
- IT skills in office equipment and networking.
- Ability to independently design UI front-end.
- Experience in website development and monitoring for phishing threats.
- Professional communication skills with stakeholders.
