The role
The IT Manager at Prime plays a critical leadership role in driving the organisation's technology operations and strategy, ensuring secure, efficient, and scalable IT systems that support the company's mission to deliver life changing healthcare solutions. Reporting to the CFO and working closely with the CTO, the IT Manager oversees daily IT operations, leads a team of engineers, manages vendor relationships and budgets, and ensures compliance with cybersecurity and data protection standards. The role involves strategic planning, project leadership, including digital transformation and acquisitions, and providing hands-on support when needed.
Ideal candidates will have strong experience in regulated industries, especially healthcare, and demonstrate excellent technical, leadership, and communication skills in a collaborative, values-driven environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience in an IT Manager or similar leadership role, preferably within healthcare, life sciences, or medical communications
- Strong knowledge of cloud-based platforms (especially Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Azure)
- Excellent understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and data protection regulations (e.g. GDPR, ISO 27001)
- Experience supporting hybrid/remote teams using collaboration tools such as Teams, Zoom, and project management systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical staff
- The ability to produce clear written documentation
