As an Account Manager, you will support the delivery of high quality medical communications across publications, events, strategic programmes, and client initiatives. Working closely with the Client Services team, the position ensures that all projects are delivered on time and on budget. Responsibilities include:
- Day-to-day client and account management
- Maintaining strong client relationships
- Ensuring strategic objectives are met
- Overseeing the smooth progression of projects from briefing through to completion
- Managing timelines and coordinating with Editorial and Studio teams
- Ensuring effective communication across internal and external stakeholders
In addition, the role requires strong financial oversight, including:
- Managing budgets
- Monitoring account health
- Ensuring revenue and recovery targets are achieved
The position plays an active part in business development by:
- Identifying opportunities within existing accounts
- Contributing to proposals
- Supporting new business efforts
The right candidate will enjoy organising and managing the specifics of project delivery to ensure that projects awarded are cutting edge, have impact, are accurately priced, and are delivered on time and on budget through effective client handling and account management.
Qualifications:
- Approximately 3–4 years’ healthcare agency experience in client services roles
- Experience organising and attending scientific meetings (e.g. congresses, symposia, advisory boards)
- Strong project management and project delivery skills
- Ability to co-ordinate the delivery of multiple projects within an account
- Relationship development skills – client handling/networking
- Strategic understanding of project/account objectives and contribution to strategic account planning
