Key Responsibilities

  • Perform TIG and MIG welding on light gauge materials (1mm-4mm) mainly aluminium.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings accurately.
  • Measure, cut, and align materials using calipers, clamps, and straightedges.
  • Set up and operate TIG welding equipment.
  • Carry out grinding, thermal cutting, and finishing operations to spec.
  • Use power and hand tools such as orbital sanders, grinders, and hand drills.
  • Ensure all welding meets required quality and construction standards.
  • Maintain knowledge of metal characteristics and appropriate welding techniques.
  • Follow all health and safety procedures and contribute to a safe working environment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and assist in basic equipment repairs.
  • Weld test required as part of the selection process.

  • Proven experience in TIG/MIG welding and fabrication.
