KEY PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
Business Development Managers must be highly professional, dedicated, motivated individuals committed to achieving personal and business goals and provide unrivalled support from the office to our existing Gas Safe Registered ATAG Selected Partners helping them protect and grow their business. Covering defined geographical areas, Business Development Managers will work in conjunction with our dedicated field sales force of Product Sales Managers (PSM’s). To maximise business efficiency, the Business Development Manager team will support the diary of their PSM’s on a day-to-day basis, ensuring that each PSM has the opportunity to meet with potential new customers each working day to demonstrate our products. The Business Development Manager will build relationships with our customers, maintaining regular contact with them and ensuring regular sales development visits with the local PSM if required.
DUTIES
- Booking virgin sales appointments – By outbound calling potential target ASP’s, sourced through various marketing channels, to ensure each PSM has the opportunity to fill their diary with new business opportunities.
- Diary management – support all areas of a PSM’s diary including regular sales catch-up visits and training visits to ensure customer retention and grow sales volume.
- Account management - develop and maintain a closer relationship with ASPs through regular planned telephone contact and by offering a variety of sales and service support to drive sales growth of active spending accounts.
- Receiving inbound calls and delivering a first-class customer service experience to support our ASP’s, protect and grow boiler sales.
- Manage inbound and outbound email box promptly to maintain efficient communication with both ASP’s, PSM’s and action internal requests in a timely manner.
- Identify potential improvement in operational processes and suggest change.
MAIN SKILLS REQUIRED
- Excellent telephone manner required.
- Experienced in outbound calling.
- Proven record in achievement of sales orientated goals.
- Ability to evaluate information in order to assess and qualify installers/companies before booking in new customer appointments.
- Initiative and willingness to take on responsibilities and challenges.
- Relationship building including the ability to understand and action customer requirements and manage objections, providing appropriate solutions.
- Demonstrate a high degree of integrity and ethical behaviour.
- Flexibility to adapt to the needs of the business and, when required, you would be expected to support colleagues in day-to-day duties.
- Reliable, responsible and dependable in fulfilling all obligations and job requirements.
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic with ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to challenge and say no, when no is required.
- IT literate.
