The Prime Video UX Design Studio is seeking a highly skilled, customer-obsessed Principal UX Designer to focus on our living room app experience. You\’ll be the expert in what is possible across the wide variety of supported systems like smart TVs, game consoles, and streaming devices and know how to get the best CX out of our 10” / TV experience. You\’ll demonstrate breadth by helping upskill the entire studio on designing for living room while ensuring that all features raise the bar on our living room platforms. You\’ll demonstrate depth by owning living room specific features like multi-device sign on, custom on-screen keyboards, and in-app screensaver.
This role is for a hands-on leader who establishes a vision and strategy, scales their impact by empowering other designers on the team and is a key contributor to design artifacts. You will develop strong relationships with fellow Design Leaders and partner closely with Product and Engineering counterparts throughout the product development process to launch bar-raising experiences for customers around the world. As a creative lead, you have a passion for solving the problems of our customer, always putting their needs first.

Key job responsibilities
- Be a strong design advocate across the entire Prime Video team and a bar raiser for quality of work.
- Work across design verticals to standardize and educate others on design systems and visual languages.
- Analyze customer problems and design delightful solutions that meet measurable business goals.
- Work closely with product teams to develop use cases and high-level requirements.
- Quickly, yet thoroughly, create process flows, wireframes, and visual design mockups as needed to effectively conceptualize and communicate detailed interaction behaviors.
- Create user-centered designs by considering market analysis, customer feedback, site metrics, and usability findings.
- Develop and maintain detailed user-interface specifications.
- Present design work to the user experience team, product team, and project stakeholders for review and feedback.
- Partner with development teams to build experiences: provide appropriate design specifications, create assets, and review finished interfaces.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
10+ years of UX Design experience.
Experience with best practices for User Interface Design, Information Architecture, and Interaction Design.
Experience in life cycle design projects from design strategy through execution.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
12+ years experience in UX Design.
Experience providing and effectively communicating strategic and tactical recommendations based on data.
Experience working with distributed teams, across multiple time zones.
Master’s degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or equivalent.
Experience working with entertainment and technology development companies.
Experience designing for accessibility and inclusivity.
Experience building CX for living room platforms experiences such as smart TVs, game consoles, or streaming devices.
Have an available online portfolio.
