Shift Pattern: Average of 42 hrs per week, working 4 on, 4 off 12 hour shifts
Based: Glasgow HQ

About the Role
We are looking for a Full-Time CCTV Monitoring Station Supervisor based in our Glasgow office.
Under the direction of the Monitoring Station Manager your role will be to provide supervision on the day-to-day activities of the Monitoring Station Officers as well as effectively operating computerised alarm monitoring systems and communication systems.
About You
As Monitoring Station Supervisor, you will be a key figure responsible for overseeing the operations and personnel within the monitoring station. Ensuring that alarms and security alerts are handled promptly and effectively. Your supervision will play a crucial role in maintaining the safety and security of clients and their assets. This role demands a strong commitment to security protocols, client satisfaction, and continuous improvement in the monitoring station operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Supervise a team of monitoring station operators, providing guidance, training, and support. They ensure that operators are adequately trained and prepared to respond effectively to alarms and incidents.
- Quality Assurance: Monitoring the performance of operators to ensure that all alarms and alerts are handled efficiently and according to established protocols and procedures. Maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism in all communications.
- Technical Expertise: Being proficient with the alarm monitoring systems and software used in the ARC to assist operators with troubleshooting and technical issues.
- Incident Management: Overseeing the escalation of alarms or incidents that require immediate attention or intervention by contacting emergency services, security personnel, or clients as necessary.
- Client Liaison: Act as a point of contact for clients, addressing their concerns, providing updates, and ensuring a high level of customer service. Handling client requests and inquiries effectively.
- Shift Management: Provide support to management with the creation and management of operator work schedules, ensuring adequate coverage 24/7. Handling shift changes, breaks, and managing any emergency staffing issues.
- Security Compliance: Ensuring that the monitoring station operates in compliance with security regulations and industry standards. Implementing and enforcing security policies and protocols.
- Training and Development: Identifying training needs and collaborate with management to conduct ongoing training programs for operators to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Requirements
- Previous supervisory experience in alarm monitoring or a related role is preferred
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent multitasking abilities and the capacity to remain calm under pressure
- Proficient in using computer systems, alarm monitoring software, and communication devices
- Ability to work in a 24/7 shift-based environment, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Good judgment and decision-making skills
- Ability to sit for extended periods and focus on monitoring screens
- To work in a fast-paced, reactive environment.
