- Monday to Thursday: 6:30am - 2:30pm

About the role:
Prime Recruitment Services are currently recruiting Resource Advisors on behalf of Client to support waste management, recycling and environmental awareness services across the Belfast area. This role is ideal for someone who is confident dealing with the public, enjoys working out in the community and can communicate clearly and professionally with residents, businesses and internal teams. You will be supporting waste management initiatives, providing advice and guidance to households and businesses, gathering service information and helping to promote better recycling and environmental behaviours.
Duties will include:
- Providing advice and guidance to residents and businesses on waste, recycling and environmental sustainability.
- Carrying out door-to-door visits, awareness campaigns and community engagement activity.
- Dealing with members of the public in a face-to-face environment, including handling difficult or challenging situations professionally.
- Completing surveys, collecting information and updating service records.
- Using handheld devices, laptops and council systems to record and update information.
- Supporting recycling schemes, waste campaigns and environmental improvement projects.
- Assisting with communal waste schemes including apartments, HMOs, student accommodation and council buildings.
- Responding to customer enquiries in a helpful, professional and courteous manner.
- Working closely with council teams, contractors and external parties to support service delivery.
- Driving council or shared vehicles when required.
Essential criteria:
- A full, current UK driving licence.
- At least 1 year's relevant experience dealing with members of the public face-to-face.
- Experience dealing with difficult or confrontational situations.
- Experience compiling, recording or analysing service information.
- Experience supporting marketing, promotional activity, awareness campaigns or events.
- Good communication skills.
- Good IT skills and the ability to update computer records accurately.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage your workload.
- An understanding of recycling, waste management or environmental issues would be beneficial.
