Join our Leisure Team! Are you an organised administrator with excellent customer service skills? Do you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same? If so, we'd love to hear from you. We are seeking a proactive Administrative Assistant to support our Leisure & Sport team at Newry Leisure Centre. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering efficient administrative support that helps our leisure services run smoothly for the local community.
What you'll be doing
- Managing reception and providing a welcoming first point of contact for visitors and telephone enquiries.
- Maintaining records, databases and filing systems with accuracy and confidentiality.
- Supporting financial administration, including invoice processing, cash handling and financial record management.
- Managing booking systems, diaries and meeting arrangements.
- Preparing correspondence, reports, presentations and meeting minutes.
- Assisting with records management and producing reports and statistics.
- Providing administrative support to both the indoor and outdoor Leisure teams.
- Assisting with marketing materials, newsletters and communications.
- Ordering office supplies and supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the office.
What we're looking for
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Confident using Microsoft Office and computerised database systems.
- An excellent communicator with strong customer service skills.
- Able to prioritise a varied workload and meet deadlines.
- Comfortable handling confidential information with discretion.
- A positive team player who enjoys supporting colleagues and delivering high-quality service.
Previous experience in an administrative or office-based role is essential, and experience within a busy customer-facing environment would be an advantage.
Essential Requirements
- Right to work in the UK.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Basic Access NI clearance (or willingness to obtain).
- Relevant administrative experience.
- Strong IT and organisational skills.
