Purpose of the Role
Contribute to the operational effectiveness of the City and Neighbourhood Services Department by performing a range of manual labour duties, supporting the Open Spaces and Street Scene Division.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of manual labour tasks to maintain parks, open spaces, and surrounding areas.
- Assist with waste collection, street cleaning, and general grounds maintenance.
- Safely operate tools, equipment, and machinery.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver high-quality services.
- Adhere to health and safety standards to ensure safe working conditions.
Requirements & Skills
- Physical fitness for sustained manual labour tasks.
- Previous experience in grounds maintenance or similar roles is desirable.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- Strong communication skills.
- Willingness to perform a variety of tasks as needed.
