Role Details
- Hours per week: Flexible
- Rate: PAYE: £13.26 per hour
- Location: Market Square, Lisburn, Lisburn and Castlereagh, BT28 1AG, United Kingdom
Key Responsibilities
- Providing a warm and friendly welcome to visitors at the Hillsborough Forest Visitor Information Trailer.
- Sharing detailed information about local attractions, tours, events, dining options, and transportation across Lisburn & Castlereagh and Northern Ireland.
- Ensuring the Visitor Information Trailer is well-stocked with up-to-date tourism materials and brochures.
- Recording and monitoring visitor enquiries, maintaining accurate records.
- Conducting visitor satisfaction surveys to gather feedback.
- Collaborating with local tourism partners and relevant departments to support a seamless visitor experience.
- Occasionally assisting with off-site events and activities.
- Promoting the area's unique offerings through excellent customer service and support of the wider tourism strategy.
What We're Looking For
- Essential: A minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at Grade AC, NVQ Level 2 or above.
- At least one year of customer service experience, ideally in a visitor-facing or hospitality role.
- Desirable: One year of experience in a tourism-related role, such as visitor information services, hospitality, or retail.
- Proven sales skills would be advantageous.
General Requirements
- Flexibility to work outside of traditional hours when required.
- A positive attitude and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality customer service.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Greeting and assisting visitors with tailored recommendations.
- Organising materials and ensuring the Visitor Information Trailer remains well-stocked.
- Engaging with visitors to gather feedback through surveys.
- Working with team members and partners to deliver a consistent service.
- Representing the team at occasional off-site events.
Work Schedule
- May, June and September: Friday to Sunday, 10am - 4pm
- July and August: Daily, 10am - 4pm
This role operates on a zero-hours basis, offering flexibility.
