Do you enjoy working with people, taking pride in your surroundings, and being part of a team that helps create a safe and enjoyable experience for visitors? We're seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Adventure Playground Attendant to join the team at one of Belfast's most popular outdoor attractions, Cave Hill Country Park.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with customer service experience who enjoys a varied role combining customer interaction, facility management, cash handling, and maintaining a safe, welcoming environment for visitors of all ages.
What You'll Be Doing
- Providing excellent customer service and assistance to visitors
- Issuing tickets and processing payments accurately
- Handling cash and maintaining accurate records in line with procedures
- Opening and securing facilities, including gates and buildings
- Carrying out daily health and safety inspections
- Monitoring and reporting maintenance issues and equipment defects
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout public areas, toilets and surrounding grounds
- Supporting the safe operation of the playground and wider park facilities
- Recording and reporting incidents or accidents when required
- Assisting with basic administrative duties as needed
- Helping to create a welcoming environment for families, visitors and community groups
What We're Looking For
We're interested in hearing from candidates who have experience in customer-facing environments and who take pride in delivering excellent service. You should be able to demonstrate:
- Experience dealing with customers or members of the public face-to-face
- Experience handling cash and maintaining accurate records
- Experience helping to maintain facilities, buildings, public spaces or recreational environments
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage confidently with visitors
- A proactive approach to health and safety
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Sound judgement and the ability to respond calmly to unexpected situations
