Prime Recruitment Services are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Property Solicitor to join a well-established local authority legal team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a varied and high-value property portfolio within the public sector.
The Role
- You will manage a diverse caseload of commercial and local authority property matters, working both independently and collaboratively.
Key responsibilities include:
- Handling a caseload including: Leases, renewals, disposals, easements and wayleaves
- Open spaces and community asset matters
- Housing-related work (Right to Buy, Shared Ownership, lease extensions)
- Drafting legal input for committee reports and attending meetings
- Providing legal advice to stakeholders, members, and external bodies
- Managing external legal advisors and instructing Counsel where required
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members
- Contributing to service improvements and case management systems
Pay & Benefits
- £35.53 per hour (PAYE)
- Potential uplift to £51 - £54.45+ depending on experience and agreed hours
- Hybrid working: 3 days remote / 2 days office (full-time equivalent)
- Minimum 1 day per week in the office if part-time
- Flexible part-time hours (2632 hours per week)
- 26-week contract with potential extension
- Weekly pay
What we're looking for
- Qualified Solicitor with a valid practising certificate and SRA number
- Strong experience in commercial property law (local authority experience desirable)
- Ability to manage a caseload independently
- Experience drafting reports and advising committees
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience mentoring junior staff (desirable)
