HGV Class 2 Driver – Builders Merchant Location: Liverpool, Merseyside Pay: £17.93 per hour Umbrella (PAYE option available) Assignment: Temporary, Monday 12 October to Friday 16 October 2026 (5 days) Hours: 06:30am - 16:30pm Licence: Category C (Class 2) About the Role Prime Placers are recruiting an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver for a well-established builders merchant in Liverpool. This is a full week's work starting Monday 12 October, ideal for a dependable driver looking for immediate work with a busy, friendly branch. You'll be delivering building materials to construction sites, trade customers and domestic addresses across Liverpool, Merseyside and the surrounding areas. It's varied multi-drop work, so no two days are quite the same. Key Responsibilities You'll carry out safe, timely multi-drop deliveries of building materials such as bricks, blocks, bulk bags, timber, plasterboard and palletised goods. You'll offload at each drop [by tail-lift / pallet truck / hand-balling – confirm], and you'll complete daily vehicle walkaround checks and report any defects. You'll also secure and distribute loads correctly, complete delivery paperwork and proof of delivery, and represent the merchant professionally with trade and domestic customers.
