Junior Site Engineer, 3-5 years of site experience specifically in building construction. Motivated and detail-oriented to join our team in Acton. To provide essential support to the Site Manager and Senior Engineers in the day-to-day management and execution of construction projects. Responsibilities
- Assist in the day-to-day management of construction site activities.
- Monitor and inspect work progress to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
- Maintain accurate site records, including daily reports and progress photos.
- Assist in the preparation of as-built drawings and other technical documentation.
- Conduct site surveys and setting out tasks.
- Assist in the coordination of subcontractors.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations on site.
- Assist in resolving technical queries and issues that arise on site.
- Communicate effectively with site personnel and project stakeholders.
- Assist in the management of site tools and equipment.
- Learn and implement company procedures and best practices.
Qualifications and Technical Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong understanding of construction processes and procedures.
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, second-fix processes and Quality Control (QC) procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Essential skills in AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel are required.
- CSCS card (desired but not always essential at entry level).
- A strong desire to learn and develop within the construction industry.
