Junior Site Engineer

Junior Site Engineer, 3-5 years of site experience specifically in building construction. Motivated and detail-oriented to join our team in Acton. To provide essential support to the Site Manager and Senior Engineers in the day-to-day management and execution of construction projects. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or individual with limited site experience looking to develop their career in the construction industry.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the day-to-day management of construction site activities.
• Monitor and inspect work progress to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
• Maintain accurate site records, including daily reports and progress photos.
• Assist in the preparation of as-built drawings and other technical documentation.
• Conduct site surveys and setting out tasks.
• Assist in the coordination of subcontractors.
• Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations on site.
• Assist in resolving technical queries and issues that arise on site.
• Communicate effectively with site personnel and project stakeholders.
• Assist in the management of site tools and equipment.
• Learn and implement company procedures and best practices.

Qualifications and Technical Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Strong understanding of construction processes and procedures.
• Strong understanding of construction drawings, second-fix processes and Quality Control (QC) procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Essential skills in AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel are required.
• CSCS card (desired but not always essential at entry level)
• A strong desire to learn and develop within the construction industry.
