A small European bank is looking for a skilled individual to take on the role of Compliance Oversight & AML (SMF16 & 17). Your responsibilities will include: * Ensuring all UK operations comply with legal and regulatory requirements * Developing, implementing, and monitoring internal policies/controls/procedures to mitigate risks and ensure regulatory compliance * Interpreting and applying UK laws and regulations (e.g. FCA, AML) * Providing guidance and training on compliance and new regulatory developments * Conducting risk assessments on anti-financial crime controls * Managing Compliance monitoring program * Investigating and addressing potential compliance breaches * Supporting auditors, both internal and external * Serving as the point of contact for UK regulatory authorities * Collaborating and reporting with Head Office on compliance issues Your experience must include: * Proven compliance experience in banking with UK regulators at SMF16 and SMF17 levels * Strong knowledge of UK regulatory frameworks, including the FCA handbook * Excellent written and oral communication skills * Solid analytical abilities * Degree educated with Compliance certifications such as ICA and ACAMS * Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting Please note this role will be working hybrid – 3 days a week in the office and 2 days remotely
