A rare opportunity has become available for an Optometrist to join a highly regarded independent opticians practice located in the Colchester area on a part-time basis.
Basic Salary: Up to £70,000 FTE + Benefits
Are you an Optometrist who wants to work in a relaxed patient-focused environment where there are no sales targets? Want to be supported in achieving further accreditations, such as Independent Prescribing? Would you like most of your weekends off work?
The Practice: This modern, clinically focused independent practice is equipped with the latest dispensing technology and advanced optical equipment, ensuring the highest standards of patient care. The practice offers a premium eyewear experience, stocking leading designer frame brands and working closely with Nikon lenses.
The Opportunity: This is a fantastic opportunity to join a thriving independent opticians practice.
- Relaxed and generous 50 minutes testing time
- Brand new OCT, phoropters in the test room
- Experienced support team working in the practice including a DO
- Test around 8 patients each day with your last test finishing at 4.20pm to give you 40 minutes each day for admin and any referrals

Working Pattern: 3 to 5 days per week including only 1 Saturday each month, 9:00am – 5:00pm, 1-hour lunch break (the practice is closed at lunchtime).
