We are searching for a dedicated Senior Support Worker to support three individuals with a learning disability and autism on a daily basis within a supported living setting. You will support the individuals to carry out their daily activities identified in their care plan such as; accessing the community, cooking, cleaning and possibly personal care while promoting independence., * Carry out and the implementation of care plans

Supporting the Team Leader in their role

Complete Supervisions with allocated staff

Review Care Plans, Risk Assessments and Guidelines

Support clients with daily activities, i.e. cooking, homework and possibly personal care

Effectively communicate with all service users, staff and professionals

Promote independence at all times
-
Enable choice whilst balancing well-being
-
Adopt creative approaches to challenging behaviour
-
Calm and collected in pressurised situations

Create a supportive, nurturing and trusting environment where by people are able to develop

Carry out regular staff supervisions

Lease with health professional in the absence of the Team Leader

Be a positive role model for staff and clients

Follow the company policy on the ordering and administration of medication
Applicants with experience of promoting independence, choice and social inclusion are preferred but training will be provided., * Previous experience as a support worker within a care environment essential

Qualified to level 2 minimum health and social care

Able to work a shift pattern on a rolling rota

Experience in a Senior Support Worker role

Experience of leading a small staff team, * Autism: 1 year (preferred)

Positive Behaviour Support: 1 year (preferred)

Senior Support Worker: 1 year (preferred)
