Responsibilities:
- Lead, manage and support the care team to ensure high quality care and service is always provided to all residents.
- Regularly review care plans and continuously assess, plan, implement, and evaluate resident care.
- Engage with residents in conversation at a level and pace that values the individual and respects their dignity and communication differences.
- Administer and record medication as prescribed, accurately monitoring drug dosages for residents.
- Ensure each resident’s dignity and independence is preserved and promoted.
- Encourage each resident to achieve the highest possible quality of life that is right for them.
- Assist residents to participate in discussions about their daily living arrangements.
- Assist with each resident’s personal care as necessary.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Successful candidates will have a genuine caring nature and a desire to make a real difference for residents.
- Prior experience as a Care Assistant or Support Worker is essential, though prior leadership or supervisory experience is not required as full training and mentoring will be provided.
- Our residents typically live with age-related conditions, life-limiting health conditions, physical disabilities and some with dementia.
- Candidates must be patient, understanding and respectful of each resident’s individual abilities.
