Prime Life is looking for dedicated care professionals to join our team as a Day Care Assistant for maternity cover. We have several vacancies and are keen to meet candidates promptly for interviews. This role is based at Westerlands Care Village in Brough. The home is designed to support 83 residents with diverse age‑related, physical and mental health conditions, including dementia. Candidates must be patient, understanding and respectful of each resident’s abilities.

Responsibilities of a Day Care Assistant:
- Assist residents with personal hygiene and bedtime routines
- Complete routine welfare checks throughout the night
- Support residents with dining and maintain good nutrition and hydration
- Encourage safe mobilisation using mobility aids and specialist equipment
- Provide friendship and companionship to residents
- Maintain accurate, timely written records and complete documentation
- Collaborate with the multi‑disciplinary care team as needed to promote residents’ health and well‑being
- Welcome family members and assist with enquiries
Requirements:
- Genuine caring nature and desire to make a real difference
- Previous experience as a Care Assistant or Support Worker is desirable but not essential; full training provided
- Ability to work with residents of varying age‑related, life‑limiting and mental health conditions, and physical disabilities
- Patience, understanding and respect for residents’ individual abilities
