Make a difference every day and give back to your community! We are looking for a caring and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our team at Springhill House in Accrington. Springhill House has been specially designed to meet the needs of 116 residents living with a range of physical, age-related and mental health conditions. Our team is committed to providing high-quality, person-centred care, and we are looking for someone who shares our passion for making a positive difference every day.

- This role offers a great work-life balance with a regular rota of 34 hours per week, working four 8.5-hour shifts (8.00am – 5.30pm) on an alternate weekend pattern.
- Your working pattern will be:
- Week 1: Two weekday shifts and Saturday & Sunday
- Week 2: Four weekday shifts

Responsibilities of our Catering Assistant:
- Preparing meals, snacks and beverages in line with residents' dietary requirements
- Carrying out quality checks on food preparation and storage
- Assisting with food service to provide a dignified dining experience
- Maintaining stock records in line with company policy and food safety regulations
- Ordering stock and keeping accurate records
- Maintaining a clean, hygienic kitchen and supporting with deep cleaning duties
What we're looking for:
To be successful in this role, you'll have a genuine caring nature and a desire to make a real difference to our residents' lives. Previous catering or kitchen experience is desirable, along with a Food Hygiene and/or Catering qualification, although this is not essential as full training will be provided.
