We are currently recruiting professional and reliable PCV Bus Drivers for a varied and rewarding role based in Ilford. This position offers stable weekday work with additional weekend earning potential.
The Role
- School run services
- Dial-a-Ride services (24/7 operation – overtime available)
- Weekend private hire
- Rail replacement services
- 12-week temporary to permanent position
- Full training and route learning will be provided. Drivers must complete a short online compliance course before starting.
Working With Vulnerable Passengers
Drivers will work closely with vulnerable children and adults. A caring, patient and professional approach is essential.
The ideal driver will:
- Demonstrate kindness and compassion
- Remain calm and professional at all times
- Have strong awareness of safety and safeguarding
- Be reliable and punctual
- Deliver excellent customer service
An Enhanced DBS is mandatory due to the nature of the role.
Requirements
- Applicants must live locally to Ilford
- Hold a valid PCV licence (CAT D UK LICENCE)
- Hold a valid Driver CPC qualification
- Hold a valid Enhanced DBS
- Have no more than 6 penalty points
- Be professional, punctual and customer-focused
Pay Rates – PCV Drivers
- PAYE: £16.14 per hour
- Umbrella: £21.34 per hour
- Overtime (after 36 hours):
- PAYE: £21.63
- Umbrella: £24.63
