We are currently recruiting reliable and professional D1 Minibus Drivers for weekday school run and Dial-a-Ride services based in Ilford. This is a fantastic opportunity for local drivers seeking stable weekday hours with consistent work and a temp-to-perm opportunity.
The Role
- School run services
- Dial-a-Ride services
- Monday to Friday working pattern
- Weekends Available with Dial-A-Ride
- 12-week temporary to permanent position
- Full training and route learning will be provided. All drivers must complete a short online compliance course before starting.
Working With Vulnerable Passengers
You will be working closely with vulnerable children and adults, so a caring and patient approach is essential.
The ideal driver will:
- Have a kind and compassionate character
- Be calm, respectful and professional at all times
- Be willing to go the extra mile to support passengers
- Have strong attention to detail, particularly regarding safety and safeguarding
- Understand the importance of reliability and duty of care
An Enhanced DBS is mandatory due to the nature of the role.
Requirements
- Applicants must live locally to Ilford
- Hold a valid D1 licence
- Hold a valid Enhanced DBS
- Have no more than 6 penalty points
- Be professional, punctual and customer-focused
Pay Rates – D1 Drivers
- PAYE: £15.68 per hour
- Umbrella: £20.74 per hour
- Overtime (after 36 hours):
- PAYE: £15.90
- Umbrella: £21.00
