PCV Drivers – Part-Time School Transport Location: Ilford
Pay: £16.14 per hour PAYE
Hours: 20–25 hours per week
Working pattern: Split shifts covering morning and afternoon school runs
Prime Jobs Recruitment is recruiting reliable, caring and professional PCV drivers to support Council's passenger transport service .
This part-time role involves transporting passengers safely to and from school, providing a punctual and considerate service.
Key responsibilities Complete morning and afternoon routes safely and on time.
Support passengers with boarding and leaving the vehicle where required.
Work closely with passenger assistants to meet passengers' needs.
Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects promptly.
Maintain accurate journey records and communicate any delays or concerns.
Follow safeguarding procedures and treat passengers with dignity and respect.
Essential requirements Valid PCV Category D driving licence.
Valid Driver CPC.
Enhanced DBS certificate.
Availability to work both parts of the daily split shift.
A patient, reliable approach and good communication skills.
Previous passenger transport experience.
Experience in school, SEND or accessible transport would be an advantage.
This role would particularly suit candidates living in Ilford or nearby who can comfortably travel to and from the depot for both shifts.
