ASO Team Lead

Role Overview: Over the past 12 months, we have successfully launched several apps with strong organic performance across multiple markets. We are now looking for an ASO Team Lead who will take full ownership of our global store presence and guide a growing ASO function. In this role, you will lead ASO strategy, execution, and experimentation across all our apps. You are expected to operate independently, move quickly, and use tools like ChatGPT, AppTweak, MMP and others to continuously improve our metadata, creatives, and localization strategy. We are actively developing new apps as well, so prior experience launching apps from scratch, understanding App Store dynamics, and driving early-stage rankings will be a strong advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and execution of advanced ASO strategies to increase visibility and conversion rates across app stores.
• Apply ASO with a performance mindset, incorporating UA-aligned custom product listings, metadata iteration, and creative testing.
• Maintain a strong competitive approach – we operate in a highly demanding market, requiring constant learning, testing, and innovation.
• Coordinate with internal teams (Marketing, Product, Design, Engineering) to align ASO efforts with feature releases, campaigns, and localization needs.
• Oversee localization of app store listings across languages and regions to maximize global reach.
• Manage ratings, reviews, and store reputation strategies.
• Work closely with designers and developers to ensure all app store assets follow guidelines and communicate value clearly.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship as the ASO function expands.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of proven experience in ASO or mobile growth roles, ideally within Gaming or SaaS apps.
• ASA experience is a strong advantage.
• Deep understanding of App Store Connect, Google Play Console, and ASO tools (AppTweak, SensorTower, App Annie, SplitMetrics, etc.).
• Strong analytical capability and understanding of MMPs, revenue-based attribution, and measuring ASO impact across unified data sources.
• Practical, proactive mindset – you get things done without unnecessary bureaucracy.
• Solid understanding of UA principles and how ASO complements user acquisition strategies.
• Excellent communication and project management skills.
• Fluency in English; German, Spanish, or French is a plus.

We are not considering freelancers or consultants juggling multiple clients. This is a full-time leadership role for someone ready to focus deeply on a single product ecosystem and deliver long-term, meaningful impact.
